Richard Hamersley
It is with great sadness that we must report the death of Richard Hamersley, President of MBC since 1997. Richard worked tirelessly to keep MBC moving forwards and it is in no small part due to his efforts that the Club has enjoyed such success on the river in recent years. The insert below will appear in Friday’s Times and Daily Telegraph.
HAMERSLEY – Richard Hugh Meyler. Peacefully at home on 2nd May 2011, aged 66. Much loved by his family and wide circle of friends in Henley-on-Thames, in the RNVR, at The Haberdashers Company, Monmouth Schools, Magdalene College Cambridge, and CU Rowing circles. Funeral Service at 2:00pm 24th May, St Nicholas Church Remenham, by Henley-on-Thames, followed by private committal service at Reading Crematorium, Caversham.
